  	There are no marriage records this early in Montgomery Co., TN. Carol - I have a copy of Christian Co., KY marriages 1795-1825 and no record of their marriage in that county. No record of marriage of Young P. Barbee and Eliza Adams has been found but based on the following evidence I believe Young P.'s wife Eliza's maiden name was Adams. Some show Young P. Barbee's [son of Joseph & Sally [ wife as Eliza Dollar but that is incorrect. There is another Young P. Barbee in Orange Co., NC that married an Eliza Dollar but he is not the son of Joseph and Sally. Eliza Adam's father John and Young's father Joseph both bought land from Allen's in 1814 on the Fork of the Red River in Montgomery Co., TN. On the 1820 Montgomery Co., TN Census John Adams and Joseph Barbee are both on page 4. Eliza named some of her children after her siblings - Emily, Jackson H. and Amanda. Eliza and her sister Emily both named boys Jackson H.. In the Battle, Kniffin and Perrin History of KY 1885, there is a history of Dr. J. G. Mickle, s/o John C. Mickle and Sara Adams, sister of Eliza. It states the mother (meaning Sarah Adams) of Maryland and of English descent and his maternal grandfather, was born in Maryland, and was by trade a saddler. Eliza stated on the 1880 Census of Marion CO., IL both her parents were born in Maryland. Eliza's two Children Emily A. and Joseph A. - the middle initial A could be Adams. Joseph Barbee's wife Sally filed papers for Joseph's service in the Rev War from Marion Co., IL proving the Young P. in Marion Co., IL is their son.

Joseph bought 100 acres in Montgomery Co., TN in 1814 - deed book I, page 609 Joseph bought a slave 25 July 1814 in Montgomery Co., TN - Book K, page 71 Joseph bought 39 ½ acres 9 May 1818 in Montgomery Co., TN - Book I, page 930 An orphan was placed with Joseph 23 Dec 1818 in Montgomery Co., TN - to learn the art of spinning and weaving - Book B, page 535 Joseph on 1820 Census in Montgomery Co., TN page 4 - Males 2/10-16 (Young P 16 & Trice 13), 1/26-45 (Major 27) & 1/>45 (Joseph 59) Females 1/>45 (Sally 52) Young P. between 1820 and 1825 marries Eliza Adams she was born abt 1802 in VA. Some have this Young P. son of Joseph marring Eliza Dollar on 27 Nov 1849 in Orange Co., NC but this is wrong as it's too late and Young P. was in Marion Co., IL in 1849. Joseph sells 39 ½ acres and 60 ½ acres (of the land he resides on) in Montgomery Co., TN to Ross Jones (His Son in Law) on 14 Dec 1824 - Book L, page 38 [Maybe Young P. was living on the other part of the 100 acres???] Young P.'s daughter Henrietta born 1825 in TN (from census) Ross Jones sells his land in Montgomery Co., TN on 29 April 1826 - Book L, page 160 (He is in Marion Co., IL with Sally after Joseph's death) Joseph's will in Christian Co., KY dated 29 Sept 1826, he died there 3 Oct 1826.
